Background: Patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus are more prone to thyroid disorders. Hypothyroidism in them leads an aggravation of microvascular complications. Screening for dysfunction diabetic patients will allow early treatment hypothyroidism. The aim this study was assess the prevalence hypothyroidism and its correlation age, HbA1c, BMI duration diabetes. Methods: This a cross sectional that conducted at department medicine GSVM medical college, Kanpur. 200 female attending outpatient without any prior history disease, chronic liver disease or acute illness were recruited study. Results: Our describes 14% (subclinical 13.5%) among subjects. common older age group maximum seen 70-79 years (66.7%). subjects having longer duration; 25-30 (40%).
